Amalia’s love for dance started at a very young age, watching her mother as a dance instructor. Amalia followed her mother’s passion for dance and started her dance training at the age of 3. She studied dance in Moravia and Weedsport, NY, with the Sara Hoskins School of Dance. There she enjoyed tap, jazz, ballet and modern dance. Amalia began as a teacher assist at the age of 12 until her mother’s retirement. Amalia later assisted in helping a Dance Discovery program flourish in Moravia, NY. In her teen years she danced in the Winter and Summer Company of the Hardenburg Dance Theater and Elizabeth Wilmot. She has attended dance conventions in Binghamton, NY with the NADAA. Amalia also as over 10 years of musical training which includes voice and guitar.
She is currently a Childhood Educatior with a focus on Children with special needs and is working as a program aide for Cayuga Onondaga BOCES at AA Gates Elementary. Amailia has had the privilege to assist, teach and choreograph with the youth program at Absolute Dance since 2009. She strives to incorporate her love for dance, singing and playing music in every part of her life. Her goal is to help children learn basic dance technique, musicality and developing a gracious presence.
